research on driving reduction challenges

We’ve had some adventures in evaluating and trying to improve the effectiveness of challenges aimed at decreasing the single-occupant vehicle (SOV) trips. This poster summarizes some of what we’ve found:

Wow, it's an amazing scientific poster showing that participation in a driving reduction challenge declined across time. Air quality is not related to participation. Making alternative travel modes interesting, productive, or fun mediates between initial commitment and favorable attitudes toward using green travel modes. And the poster is really well designed! What genius made it?!
